Lisa Cooper, CEO
Lisa Cooper is Principal at Advocare+, healthcare consultant firm based in the San Francisco Bay Area. Lisa has been advising and advocating for healthcare organizations and physician practices since 2000 in a variety of settings including acute-care hospitals, physician offices, outpatient facilities and hospice care. Lisa uses her expertise to deliver stability and financial viability within these healthcare organizations through focusing the teams on exposure and opportunities as well as discovering and developing effective relationships and partnerships.
Lisa has held such positions as Senior General Manager at VITAS Healthcare, a billion dollar publicly traded company based in Florida as well as chief executive officer for multi-specialty ambulatory care surgery centers. She and her husband have resided in Woodside, California since 2005 and are proud parents to six children ranging in years from elementary school to college age. Lisa is active in various community and charity outreach programs, recently named as the San Francisco Bay Area Leukemia & Lymphoma Society Woman of the Year in 2015. Lisa has served as the managing chief executive officer for Santa Cruz Surgery Center since 2013.
Dr. Janigian has served as the Medical Director at the Santa Cruz surgery center since 2014. She is a member of the Anesthesia Medical Group of Santa Cruz and has provided anesthesia services at both Dominican Hospital and the Santa Cruz Surgery Center since 2010. Dr. Janigian is licensed by the California State Medical Board and is board certified by the American Board of Anesthesiology. She is a member of the American Society of Anesthesiologists and California Society of Anesthesiologists.
Dr. Janigian was born and raised in Fresno, Ca. She obtained her undergraduate degree in music and biology in 1998 from Mount Holyoke College in South Hadley, Massachusetts. She then worked in a bioengineering lab at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology prior to attending medical school at the Tufts University School of Medicine, and obtained her MD degree in 2010. She then underwent internship training in Internal Medicine at Valley Medical Center in San Jose, CA, followed by Anesthesiology residency at the University of Southern California Keck School of Medicine, graduating in 2010. She served as chief resident in her final residency year. Outside interests include playing the violin, and spending time with her family.
